Round three of the Sarum Summer Series took us to a recently refurbished Victoria Park for an urban-based course planned by Rachel. A score event, runners had to select to visit even or odd numbered controls before tackling the other set. On a lovely evening the usual suspects were joined by several visitors and the Thirkell’s dog.
The courses took runners from Victoria Park to the Five Rivers Sports Centre via some tricky street-placed controls and made for some careful decision making.
This was another very enjoyable evening event, sociable with a touch of training thrown in. Afterwards some of us relaxed over a beer.
Next month (July 12th) the evening meet in Churchill Gardens will incorporate the Sarum Club Championships but there are courses for novices as well, so why not come along for a great evening out. Afterwards we’ll be off to the Gray Fisher close to the West end of the gardens to chill out. Full details of all evening events here.
