Emily Benham has had a busy week competing in the Mountain Bike Orienteering World Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic. Britain’s top woman MTBO rider won bronze in the Middle Distance Race in. Emily gained her medal thanks to a strong finish that left her just 10 seconds off Silver and 34 seconds from Gold.
In the Sprint Race Emily took 4th place and another 4th place in the Long Race. No doubt she will be disappointed not to have made the podium in each race but this is still an outstanding performance from the former Sarum member and more than good enough for Emily to retain the World Cup title that she won last year.
