Sarum’s top junior lady Hazel Cutler of S.Wilts Grammar School and the SW Junior Squad finished off her career as a competitor in the Dorset Schools Score Championships with a storming run at Moors Valley Country Park.
Sadly, Hazel is now too old to compete in future events. ‘I really enjoyed it, though a little sad, as it is my final schools run’ Hazel said.

With 25 controls to collect, Hazel was one of only five competitors to punch all controls correctly within the 45 minutes time allotted gaining 20 bonus points and coming home in second place just 15 bonus points adrift of winner Robert Munday of Poole GS.

Hazel was the first girl home and the only one to visit all controls; a great result. Afterwards Hazel said ‘It was particularly pleasing to have punched every control’.
Hazel now has to navigate her way through the thickets and scrubland of A-Levels. We all wish her good luck in getting a maximum score there.
