Another one for the collection.

Congratulations to Charlotte Thornton for another impressive night run. This occasion was the Southern Night Championships held this year at Broadstone Warren, beyond Crawley. The map was divided into two areas, each having a pretty good path network. The courses initially led runners through a more open area, with lots of marshes, rough open and also some small copses. The later controls were sited in woodland with significant rhododendron cover.

The rather fetching trophy was very appropriate for a keen ornithologist who likes to speed silently around at night. Well done Charlotte.

At the same even Ian Pierce just lost out on the winners spot in M75. Having led all the way round Ian mis-punched his penultimate control. Doh!  Freda Peirce showed her usual persistence in achieving 2nd place in W80.
