In the Dark about Martin Down

Another small, but perfectly formed, Wessex Region Night League Event from Sarum, this time held on Martin Down. Parking is sometimes a problem here but the team managed to squeeze in 28 cars with potential to squeeze for another 5 – an impressive achievement.

The 31 runners all seemed to appreciate Mark White’s planning of the score course and the area itself all of which helped a good atmosphere. Thanks to the willing volunteers who gave up their run to help the event run smoothly. In particular Organiser Liz Yeadon, Planner Mark White, Controller Charlotte Thornton and Marc Balston on computers. Finally, thanks to Ian Peirce for the photos.

Harry Bratcher-Howard (WIM, M18) topped the results table scoring a maximum 500 points plus 35 bonus points ahead of Alan Blanchflower (WSX, 495 points) and Jolyon Medlock (WSX, 470 points). Ed Halsey (M50,360 points). Full results can be found here.

If you’ve never tried Night-O why not borrow a Head Torch and have a go?
